Chloe Butler (born 11 April 1987) is a female rugby union player and former gridiron football player.

[Chloe Butler] Early life

Chloe Butler grew up on a cattle property in Croydon, Queensland, Australia. After an injury forced her to give up running and gymnastics, Butler moved to Canberra to become a cheerleader for the Canberra Raiders. In 2010, she left Canberra to take part in the inaugural season of the Lingerie Football League (LFL).

[Chloe Butler] Playing career

Chloe Butler has had a successful rugby career, having joined the Los Angeles Temptation of the Lingerie Football League for the 2011–12 season, playing as a wide receiver and defensive end, and captaining the New South Wales Surge, Western Conference squad for the 2012 LFL All-Fantasy Game Tour. She has played for the Australian Capital Territory, Parramatta Two Blues and Wallaroos, and has been selected in the Wallaroos squad to the 2014 Women's Rugby World Cup, leading to her involvement in the first ever women's Bledisloe Cup double header as No.5 in 2016. Following this, Butler has played Openside flanker, no.6 and lock for Australia in the 2017 Womens Four Nations tour in New Zealand, and in the 2017 Womens Rugby World Cup in Ireland. Having earned 14 caps for Australia, she made her debut in England at Richmond FC in the Tyrrrell's Womens Rugby Championship in October 2017, and now plays for Harlequins.
