[Gregor Stahli] Introduction
Gregor Stähli (born 28 February 1968 in Zürich) is a Swiss skeleton racer who has had an impressive career since 1989. He won two bronze medals in the men's skeleton at the 2002 and 2006 Winter Olympics. Additionally, Stähli won ten medals at the FIBT World Championships: three golds (1994, 2007, and 2009), four silvers (1992, 2000, 2005, and 2009 in Mixed team), and three bronzes (1990 and 1993 in men's skeleton, and Mixed team in 2007). Furthermore, he was the overall men's Skeleton World Cup champion in 2001–02. However, in 2009, he suffered a thigh injury during a World Cup competition in Lake Placid, New York which forced him to withdraw from the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
