Harrison Gilbertson was born in Adelaide, South Australia, the son of Julie Sloan and Brian Gilbertson.

[Harrison Gilbertson] Career

Harrison Gilbertson began his acting career at the age of six when he starred in a local production of Madama Butterfly as Sorrow. He had his first taste of screen acting in 2002 when he played Greggy in Australian Rules. His breakthrough role came in 2009 when he was cast as Billy Conway in Accidents Happen, for which he received much acclaim for his acting ability. This lead to his US debut in the indie film Virginia, following which he won the 2010 AFI Young Actor Award for his performance as Frank Tiffin in Beneath Hill 60. Gilbertson went on to appear in films such as Need for Speed, the thriller ghost feature Haunt and the Australian indie movie My Mistress. Moving to the small screen, he starred alongside Natalie Dormer and Samara Weaving in the miniseries remake of Picnic at Hanging Rock. In 2018, he played the lead role of Sean in the psychological thriller Look Away, which featured India Eisley, Mira Sorvino and Jason Isaacs.
