[Renee Alway] Introduction

Renee Diane Alway (born April 29, 1986), is an American fashion model, the last eliminated contestant on America's Next Top Model, Cycle 8, and the runner-up on Modelville.

[Renee Alway] Early life

Renee Alway was born and raised in northern Michigan to Sandra and her father, who was both a pastor and a police officer. In the first episode of Modelville on October 8, 2008, Renee revealed the difficult and often frightening home life she experienced as her father was physically and mentally abusive. Unfortunately her father's respected position in the community, paired with his mental instability, made it too dangerous for her, her siblings, and her mother to leave the home.

[Renee Alway] Modeling/acting career

Renee Alway started modeling at the young age of 13, gaining experience in New York City, Europe, and Japan, and having her work featured in Seventeen and Italian Vogue, as well as ads for Delia's. She was also featured in US Weekly with fellow Top Model contestants Jaslene Gonzalez, Natasha Galkina, and Dionne Walters. After Top Model, Alway was involved in post-modeling projects, including the Roman Holiday Collection. In addition to this, she has had acting roles, including one in the CBS series Shark ("In Absentia") and competing as runner-up in the reality show Modelville on The Tyra Banks Show.
